The Mervent forest is huge, covering over 5,000 hectares of land, offering countless walks in its leafy depths, miles and miles of challenging and exciting cycle rides, fabulous horse riding and a large swimming lake with water sports, beach and waterside cafes. On the outskirts there is a little zoo and just a few miles further a wonderful old fashioned amusement park called Parc de Pierre Brune which is a step back 50 years in time and is ideal for younger family members. ![]() Recognized as one of the prettiest villages in France, Vouvant is situated high on a hill in a crook of the river Mere.
