  • There are four huge bedrooms, three upstairs and one downstairs and they are roomy and light with plenty of storage and mirrors! Two of the bedrooms upstairs have kingsize beds and the third has two single beds.   Downstairs there is a large family room with a king size bed and two single beds.  There is also a cot available with kiddies bedding and bumpers.  Plus changing mat, potty and steam steriliser to make life easier if you're travelling with babies.
  • We want all our guests to have a heavenly night’s sleep as we believe it’s an essential part of being on holiday, so two of the kingsize beds have luxury memory foam mattress toppers and the bedlinen is cool, comfortable cotton.  There are also fans in the rooms if the nights get hot.
  • There’s a shower room upstairs and a large bathroom and over-bath shower downstairs too.
  • On the ground floor there’s plenty of space to chill out, with a sitting room, dining room and kitchen.  We have a TV and freeview, a video and DVD player and a host of DVDs and videos for both children and adults – hours and hours of fun if it ever gets wet.  If you like a good game there are also a host of board games and playing cards. There’s also a music system and a large selection of music to suit even the most eclectic tastes but bring some of your own if you’re into heavy metal!
  • The extra large dining room table sits 10, plus there is another table available in the kitchen should you want the children to have their own little feast and a booster chair and clip on high chair for any little ones.
  • No one wants to spend time washing on holiday but sometimes it's a necessary evil - especially if you have children with you so the washing machine and tumble drier come in pretty handy from time to time.  The same goes for the dish washer!
  • As the weather can get quite hot in summer in this part of France you will probably be spending a lot of your time outside in the walled garden.  If you visit at the right time of year you can pick pears, figs, cherries or peaches from the trees in the garden, sit in the rippled shade of the gently swaying silver birch trees rustling in the breeze or select a little sun trap near the fragrant honeysuckle bushes and curl up with a good book.
  • We have a range of tables and chairs as well as a parasol and gazebo too – if you fancy putting it up yourself it does look wonderful when you’re eating outside with twinkling fairy lights as it gets dark.  For your more energetic days there are a range of bikes for ages five upwards, a badminton net and rackets, tennis rackets and a basket ball basket.  NEW for 2010 a large above ground swimming pool with sun-drenched decking area.  For days out on the local lake there is a dingy.
  • The Vendee offers serious star gazers an amazing experience - we have a digital telescope available for hire to make the most of the complete absence of light pollution.  Ask to hire it on your booking form.
